This piece reflects a moment in Samburu, overlooking the river at the end of a beautiful trip. The sun was strong against a blue sky, the river brown and steady below. A small group of chipmunks passed by, quick and alert, their red eyes catching the light.

The piece was created in Kenya and stretched and finished with mark making, responding to the natural pigments already in the canvas.
