About
Anne Særker (b. 1994) is a Danish artist and web developer based in Copenhagen. Her practice explores memory, perception and the relationship between nature and human experience. Working primarily with diluted acrylics, she creates layered compositions in which light, color and subtle movement shift between clarity and abstraction.
Having grown up between Kenya, Mozambique, Ghana and Denmark, Særker was shaped by contrasting landscapes, climates and natural environments. These experiences continue to inform her visual language, where softened forms and open fields of color suggest fragments of memory rather than fixed narratives.
She adopted the name Særker at the age of eighteen, taking her grandfather’s artist name. An early and formative influence that places her work within a personal lineage while remaining rooted in a contemporary practice.
Alongside her artistic work, Særker holds a Bachelor’s degree in Web Development. Her background in web design and development informs her attention to structure, balance, and detail, creating a dialogue between intuitive expression and considered composition. She currently works as a developer alongside her artistic practice.
